The restaurant chain has partnered with Telekom Malaysia Bhd to provide its patrons with the hospot Web access.

Wireless Internet is available at 163 Pizza Hut outlets in the country, which operate from 11am to 11pm daily.

At the outlets, patrons have a choice of wireless service — Streamyx Zone or Pizza Hut WiFi.

Those who opt for Pizza Hut WiFi will need to view a 30-second TV commercial before they can connect to the Internet. Also, the speed is capped at 128Kbps.

Pizza Hut expects that the additional service will attract even more youths to its restaurants and help it stay ahead of competitors.

nokia-coreThe Nokia CORE cellphone is a concept inspired by the futurism graphics of Star Wars. Designed around its interface, which resembles a solar system where all functions revolve around the core, the shape of the phone is derived from the interface core and is expanded around it. Developed under the ease of usage concept, thus it is made with a soft touch filled concavity on each side so it can be easily grabbed and used. For the unique functionality the phone when put facing down on a surface, automatically transfers the interface and content to the screen of the nearest computer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Having done this, the phone then acts as a mouse-like device to control its own interface on the computer screen.

black berryThe BlackBerry Storm2 9550 finally delivers on the original Storm 9530’s promise. It’s a powerful device with an innovative click screen that really works—and it feels finished instead of like an engineering prototype. Having said that, the Storm 9550 is now a proper version of last year’s groundbreaking smartphone. Is that good enough for an Editors’ Choice award, given all that’s happened in the wireless industry in the past year? It’s a tough call, but we have to say no because of its unimpressive Web browsing and underpowered camera.

With Powermat, you can charge up to three devices simply by laying them down on the special pad. When they’re in the right place, a pleasing tone sounds and you feel a slight magnetic tug.
To get the pad to transfer power to the batteries, each device needs a special sensor. With a BlackBerry, you replace the standard battery cover with a Powermat version.
