Nikon-P100-super-zoom_02Nikon today introduced their latest digital camera, the Coolpix P100, which features a five-way stabilized 26x optical zoom lens in front of a 10.3-megapixel CMOS sensor with ISO 3200 sensitivity, Backside Illumination and Active D-Lighting. What makes the Nikon P100 more special is that it can also do macro shots at 0.4 inches. Other features include in-camera HDR features, a 40-shot pre-shooting cache, a 3-inch 460,000-dot tilting LCD, and a HDMI port. This camera shoots video in MOV (H.264) format at HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) 30fps, HD 720p (1280 x 720) 30fps, VGA (640 x 480) 30fps, or QVGA (320 x 240) 30fps. The Nikon Coolpix P100 will be released in the US market next month for $369.

The Casio Exilim EX-10HG Hybrid GPS digital camera concept uses GPS to geotag images when taken, and uses three-axis accelerometers to continue to geolocate even when out of range of a global positioning satellite.

Samsung-SL600-1Samsung has added two new digital cameras to its SL series with the introduction of the 12.2-megapixel SL600 (pictured above) and 10.2-megapixel SL50.

These stylish cameras sports a high-quality 27mm wide-angle Samsung lens with 5x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch 230K LCD (SL600), a 2.5-inch 230K LCD (SL50), digital image stabilization, Smart Auto mode, Samsung’s Perfect Portrait System and the ability to record 640 x 480 video at 30fps. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.

With the 12.2 mega-pixel SL600 and 10.2 mega-pixels SL50, casual photographers will be able to enjoy the benefits of more powerful lenses, allowing them to enhance their creativity. e-book-11Three new cell phones from Samsung have been unveiled. The first handset is the Samsung i6500 Saturn, which is an Android smartphone featuring a full touchscreen display, a digital camera on the back, and Wi-Fi. Another unannounced Samsung phone spotted today is the Samsung SCH-i899, which is a Windows Mobile handset that has a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, a MicroSD card support and a 3-megapixel digital camera. There is also a leaked picture of the Samsung i8180/ i8180C with an unknown specification. The Samsung i899 and i8180/ i8180C will apparently be launched in China first.

The Satio comes packed with a 12.1 megapixel camera which is powerful enough for most shots. And the Satio runs the Symbian OS S60 5th edition, which is usually found on Nokia cellphones such as Nokia 5800 and N97.
