benq_G925HD-1BenQ has announced two new budget-friendly LCD monitors by launching the G925HD and G925HDA. These new 18.5-inch widescreen monitors support a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and provide 200 cd/m2 brightness, 4,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 5ms response time and consume just 23W during normal operation. In terms of connectivity ports, they offer D-Sub, DVI-D (G925HD) and HDCP (G925HD). Both monitors will be available worldwide this month for $129 (G925HD) and $125 (G925HDA), respectively.

optoma-PK102The new PK102 has some serious improvements. The contrast ratio has been doubled, for one thing, to 2000:1. Wery nice. But the big move is that it now has 4GB of on-board memory and a on-screen menu with which to navigate it.

That’s certainly big enough for a couple episodes of this or that, or a few home movies. This solves the problem of having to carry around something to output through the projector, which reduced its utility somewhat. continue reading…

BenQ-G922HDL-1BenQ has added a new LED display to its range by releasing the G922HDL, the world’s first 18.5-inch LED backlight LCD display. This widescreen monitor offers 1366 x 768 WXGA resolution, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5 million:1 and comes with the Eco Mode feature.

It also adopts BenQ’s patented Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology offering one touch optimization of image richness, clarity and depth using preset modes calibrated to specific applications and comes with both D-Sub and DVI inputs. No details on pricing so far. continue reading…

Viewsonic has unveiled its latest mini projector called the PJD2121 short throw DLP projector. The projector has 400 lumens of brightness and a native resolution of 800 x 600. The contrast ratio is 1800:1 and the projector supports both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. continue reading…
