
Today Lenovo has launched the world’s most and very advanced 55-inch TV, the K91 which is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ( ICS ) at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2012, in Las Vegas. Besides this ICS the TV also boasts of a pretty powerful 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and for the sake of usability Lenovo has equipped the K91 TV with more advanced voice-recognition algorithms and a 5-megapixel camera for video interactions via facial recognition and a remote control, which incorporates a touch pad, a 5-way d-pad and a motion sensor.
Even in terms of display technology the K91 is no slouch as Lenovo boasts of the following:
- A 3D FPR.
- Flicker free LED backlit.
- Full HD IPS panel with 240Hz refresh rate.
- The native ICS experience with their Sandwich UI that unites traditional TV with Video on demand (VOD) services via custom apps.
- 802.11n Wi-Fi.
- 8GB storage.
- SD card support.
- Access to Android Market and a Lenovo store.
And further it has been reported that the devices shown off at the event had an Chinese interface which could suggest the device would first launch in China before anywhere else, but as of now Lenovo has not announced any pricing or release dates for the K91.
