SONY Digital Binoculars With HD Movie Recording- Now In A Store Near You!

Sony Electronics has made a head-start in the binoculars business using two hi-tech models, which enables users to tape high-definition video from even a long distance!

Sony has introduced the world’s first digital binoculars that can record in AVCHD 2.0 format. The two newly launched models, DEV-3 and DEV-5, are able to record Full HD video with stereo sound at the touch of a button, and also add a 3D mode.

Andy Bubala, the director of the camcorder business at Sony Electronics has told, ”Now consumers can watch birds, wildlife, sports action and more in steady, sharply-focused close-up views, while capturing their subjects in crisp Full HD. These latest models add entirely new levels of flexibility and convenience to viewing, recording and enjoying your favorite images and scenes.”

Now people can select the variable zoom on both models to examine a wide area at low magnification before zooming in smoothly to pinpoint a subject, like birds in a field. Operating the digital zoom at magnification settings over 10x advances the DEV-5 model’s total magnification range from 0.9x to 20x digital, matching many high-powered conventional binoculars’ standards. The DEV-3 model can easily capture wildlife, sporting subjects and architectural details in detail with a maximum magnification of 10x optical.

In 3D mode, the binoculars’ maximum zoom equals 5.4x optical. Electronic autofocus enabled both binoculars to focus flawlessly on contents less than half an inch away while recording in 2D.

Classified images for left and right eyes are captured by a matched pair of precision G Lens optics by Sony with “Exmor R” CMOS sensors and powerful BIONZ processors.

Although both the binoculars are similar in many aspects, the DEV-5 comes with a few additional benefits, which includes an on-board GPS receiver that automatically geo-tags photos and video captured using the binoculars.

The DEV-5, which costs $2,000,is accessorized with lens cover, finder cap, “large eye cups,” a carrying case plus a neck strap. Minus all these, the DEV-3 is priced at about $1,400. Both the DEV-3 and DEV-5 modelsfeature a “stealth” design that takes out distracting buttons or external details that could disclose a user’s position to wildlife. And an “ergonomic grip area” is surfaced with an elastomer material to assist users in positioning their gadget.
